HC Kunststoffwerk receives further innovation award SUCCESS2020

The prize was awarded by the state’s Ministry of Economics and the ISB during a virtual award ceremony.

The company was awarded the special prize for “Additive Manufacturing”. Here, the “HC flap” project in particular was awarded, which was developed in a very short time using a very innovative 3D printing process. In the new 3D printing process, which was established together with the technology partner Arburg at HC, the later series materials are used in granulate form. This means that validation of the product can begin at a very early stage, which saves an enormous amount of time. The series product also runs on Arburg injection molding machines, which together with robots form a highly automated production cell.
